Laurence Williams – Our New Guest Conductor
House of Saba is honored to welcome Laurence Williams as our new guest conductor. An internationally acclaimed bass-baritone soloist and choral conductor, Laurence has captivated audiences with his lyrical tone and engaging communication of narrative.
Laurence trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, graduating with distinction and a Concert Recital Diploma in 2017. His recent performance highlights include Bach’s Mass in B Minor with the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, a live broadcast of Bach’s St Matthew Passion with Stephen Layton and the Auckland Philharmonia, and the role of Adonis in Blow’s Venus and Adonis for Hampstead Garden Opera.

As a conductor, Laurence is celebrated for his motivational style and his ability to inspire singers of all levels. He has directed choirs across London, including the 120-strong East Grinstead Choral Society, Children's Voices of Enfield, and the church choir of St. Michael's, Barnes. He also serves as Assistant Director to the London Concert Choir and Islington Choral Society.
Laurence is passionate about introducing all voices to the joy of singing, believing that every person has the potential to experience the transformative power of choral music. His extensive experience as a singer and conductor allows him to bring a unique and dynamic perspective to his work.
